On page 162, it speaks of a mass “Jauhar” style immolation of women in order to escape the clutches of Islamic invaders. Such tragedies happened all over Bharat for hundreds of years. The cost of the Islamic invasion was terrible. It would be good to document all such incidents in one place, and show them pictorially on a map for those who wish to entertain the delusion that the Islamic invasion of Bharat was a “nice-nice” thing. A peaceful “mingling” of two cultures, and all the other falsehood our secularists preach.

This book is an excellent history of the Hoysalas and is not available easily as it was published in 1957. I thank Jambudveep for making this book available.
